this easter holiday

we hunted for eggs
and hunted
and hunted
the easter bunny had a hard time remember how many were hid. oh well...at least they are outside.
then we tried taking pictures after church.
the baby didn't want to cooperate
 at all
so we let her go free
right after this picture the older girls were done too and lucy exclaimed, "let's go kill aphids!"
so they did. my little murderers in matching pastel colors. awwwwwww.
sunday was a wonderful day. i'm always a little sad that easter isn't celebrated as much as christmas is. because my life is built on my faith in Jesus Christ. and that brings me peace. but something about this holiday's meaning seems to get lost in bunnies & chocolate. i did try to explain to the girls more than a few times how important this sunday was and why we wear our very best clothes on it.

I'm enjoying keeping up with you through your blog :) and so happy your pregnancy is going so well.

I'm interested to read that you are sad Easter is not celebrated as much as Christmas. I'm a protestant Christian who celebrates Lent, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and then Easter. To us, Easter is the BIG deal. After living in Utah for 12 years I'm still very curious as to why Mormons do not celebrate Easter more, andI guess you are too, which is interesting to me. Thanks for your post :).

I'll keep reading and will pray for a safe and wonderful delivery for your little one!
