14 weeks...a little late
15 weeks
and grown out of the bassinet
yes, phoebsters has been sleeping in our room for 15 weeks. the horror!
actually, it's not bad at all. i think i've adopted the pioneer technique on it (you know, since the entire family slept in one room). and that technique is, i can sleep amazingly through all the teenie tiny fussies and insignificant noises. i wake up when i hear the, HELP! THERE'S A HOLE IN MY STOMACH! noises. it's a great help. and she's never made it to a cry yet.
but i think i'd like my room back. and some privacy.
since the girls love to run in and greet her smiling face in the morning, and my grumpy tired one is still in bed. so today i vow to break out the port a crib, since that will be phoebe's bed until may
*and i realize some mothers are thinking. do you even love your child? a bassinet for 15 weeks? and then a port a crib? what about the color coordinated bedding? the mobile? the pillows and shams and squishy toys? all i can say is, do you live with 3 melodramatic, hyper-sensitive daughters in 900 square feet? no? then tough nougies. (if you do, please email me with thoughtful advice)
and i'm POSITIVE phoebe will never know her room history until she reads the blog book

Hahahahaha! Cute photos.
And you're right, Phoebe will be none the wiser. Remember how Jacob went from bassinet to port a crib and then the port a crib moved into the closet?! He didn't get his own crib until he was 10 months old.
And he is fine. :)
(I'm getting the feeling our next one might do something like Phoebe and Jacob - in the closet - for a while.)
Sweet Nubbins! No bedroom tricked out from Pottery Barn Kids or Land of Nod??
Smart.
Is it worse that my boy is 14 and hasn't had painted walls or any type of "decor" yet???
I hear ya.
Glad to hear I'm not the only mother considering this. I am currently debating on whether or not to buy another crib, or just put the new baby in the bassinet/port a crib until Macy is ready for a "big girl bed".
haha, you crack me up. a port-a-crib in the closet or the penthouse suite, they don't care. all that other garbage is over-rated. sure cute, possibly some-what useful, but over-rated.
I'm always sad when they grow out of the bassinet. Is that pathetic?
Uh....you know where Caleb sleeps. They could care less. All the cutesie stuff is for us moms.
