Bed head girl couldn't wait to open presents in the morning.
All she wanted for her birthday was a guinea pig. I KNOW.
Ty is a sucker for pets, and now we have a hairy rat that we purposefully feed and water. Go us.
Thanks to Frostie, Lucy had a wonderful cake that fed everyone and there were no leftovers! (my weakness is leftovers)
I can't believe it, but everyone loves that stupid thing.
Opening presents
Not a baby anymore.
And after this picture I dropped the cake onto the computer keyboard.
Icing side down.
I can't believe how old she looks in this picture. How can she be 8?

It looks like you got the "safe" kind of enclosure for Mr. guinea pig. My unmarried brothers gave my kids a guinea pig for Christmas one year. (without my permission of course, but then, they were the "cool uncles") and it had a glass terrarium-type enclosure with a mesh top. The pet was kept in Dallin's (my oldest's) room. It stunk when the enclosure wasn't kept clean. One day, when it was "stinky," my husband set the enclosure, guinea pig and all, out on the cool, shady back porch to await cleaning by one of the children. However, we forgot about it and also about the fact that our back porch faces west and the cool, shady back porch was far from cool and shady in the late afternoon. And with the sun beating down on the glass enclosure well.... yep, you guessed it, we roasted the guinea pig.
Oooooohhhhh. She does look so grown up in the picture of her blowing out her candles. Sorry about the cake. How on earth did you clean your keyboard!?
